Former Springboks 
Odwa and Akona Ndungane launched their charity foundation in spectacular fashion on Friday June 8, 2018 with a golf day at Serengeti Estate near Kempton Park, Johannesburg.
The event was attended by illustrious sports stars such as Springboks John Smit, Victor Matfield, Fourie du Preez and Proteas cricketers Temba Bavuma, Henry Davids and Garnett Kruger. There were also former teammates present such as Keegan Daniel and Derick Hougaard.
The event raised funds for the Ndungane Twins Foundation, an initiative geared at giving disadvantaged children an opportunity for better education with a focus on enhancing their sporting talents.
Akona and Odwa Ndungane both had extensive careers for the Bulls and the Sharks respectively. Akona won the Rugby World Cup under Jake White in 2007, as well as three Super Rugby titles with the Bulls. Odwa retired with 9 Springbok caps and three Currie Cup titles under his belt. The pair have now dedicated their time to giving back.
